Comparison of Privacy Policies of LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter

Facebook- https://www.facebook.com/policies
• Colorful
• Easy to understand
• Not easy to locate
• Changes often without giving user any notice
• Gives users limited control over information sharing – earlier there were options to set “who can send your friend requests” to no one. Now you can only set it to “friends of friends”

LinkedIn- https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy
• Very verbose
• Difficult to understand
• Difficult to locate
• Many legal terms
• Doesn’t given user complete control over his own data privacy

Twitter: https://twitter.com/en/privacy
• Verbose
• Simpler language than LinkedIn, but not as user-friendly as Facebook
• Easier to locate
